ENTRANCE THEME: Bang Camaro - "Swallow The Razor" APPEARANCE: Going to need a render by a pro kid with an HD Cap Card. BRIEF BIO: While Jonny D was always a fan of wrestling it wasn't until the age of 20 until he actually decided to become a pro wrestler. While working at his father's gas station it took a chance meeting with local wrestling legend, Brendan Daehnke Sr. to actually pursue his goal. Lacking individual wealth and his family not wanting him to pursue wrestling it was a handshake agreement and hot dog that lead to his training. The agreement was that Jonny D would have to later train Brendan Daehnke Sr.'s son.
Jonny D worked in the independent scene which eventually go him noticed by Justin Lee at the age of 23 to work for the Global Wrestling Association. He would participate there as an underdog face, but an injury would almost derail his career. A wrongfully executed outside dive caused Jonny D to be out of action for 6 months with a knee injury. When he came back he would compete for their Heavyweight Title as the sympathetic underdog, but would ultimately lose and leave the promotion.
That was when Jonny D decided he needed a different environment. He competed in Mexico under the alter ego as the "Manly Dude Guy" for all of 2008. Eventually it became time for Brendan Daehnke Sr. to cash in his favor. A phone call caused Jonny D to head back to North America to train Brendan Daehnke Jr. with another wrestler known as Paul McNeil. Paul McNeil had a very basic and old school approach to pro wrestling. During these training sessions with Daehnke Jr. they would also teach each other their respective styles for most of 2009. After a brief stint in the Global Wrestling Association in 2009 which even involved a tag team with good friend Damian MISERA, Jonny D would become black listed from the promotion for sticking up for Daehnke Jr. after a backstage incident. As a result, he did not compete for any major promotions in 2010.
Jonny D would change his appearance to look older. He billed himself five years older then he actually was because he believed at the time that age would give him experience and would help him stand out from a relatively youthful environment. While working on the independents Jonny D almost gave up on wrestling until a phone call from Brendan Daehnke Sr. came. All Original Wrestling was launched and Jonny D participated as part of the starting roster. He would wrestle the promotion's very first match against Biscuits in a losing effort in a tournament match for the promotion's Heavyweight title. He would stay in the mid-card up until the mutual respect between him and his longtime friend Damian MISERA was restored. The duo known as Fuzz and Face could be repeatedly found in matches with the titles on the line, but just couldn’t knock off the likes of MONROE and Nic Virtue. Speaking of which, when the tag division was deaded due to a lackluster roster size Jonny D ushered into the hunt for the AOW World Title, along with his friend Damian MISERA. The general manager eventually made a Championship Scramble match, in which MISERA, Jonny D, Ace Rose, and two other competitors battled it out for the prestigious championship. At the end of the night, it was MISERA who stood tall, carrying the World Title on his shoulders after a gruesome 15 minutes match. While being focused in the World Title hunt there was an incident Jonny D was not able to help. Brendan Daehnke Jr. retired his father and won the Primetime title. Acknowledging that incident Jonny D confronted his trainee on the only known episode of the "Cruz Ship" where Brendan Daehnke Jr. and his new protege AD Mercer beat him down to a point where D was sidelined with an injury. He would return aiding Dario in his Primetime championship title hunt and would successfully win the Tag Title belts with him against NOV. While Dario was unsuccessful in his title matches due to an altercation with Kris Awesome, Jonny D became the man responsible for taking the Primetime championship away from his student which he successfully did at the AOW Grandslam pay-per-view. He and Dario would eventually lose the Tag Title belts to the team of Cavallari and Legacy, but he would hold onto the Primetime championship until AOW closed its doors.
When AOW closed Jonny D was given two options; work the independent circuit with the friends he made in AOW or to join the Ring of Chaos. He chose the latter quickly establishing himself as a big name there and becoming the promotion's first Pure Heavyweight champion in a grueling 45-minute King of Endurance match. After dropping the Pure title he took a hiatus, but would come back to compete in the promotion's King of Chaos match as a result of his King of Endurance win. Jonny D would be the runner-up of the match losing to Dane Xavier in an extremely close hard fought match. Capitalizing on the momentum he would win a number one contender's match which allowed him to face off with Damian MISERA for the Heavyweight Title in a Ladder match which Jonny D would win. While Jonny D was happy with his victory he did not feel he was treated as the face of the company like he should have so he decided to join Damian MISERA's Gods of the Serengetti stable to feud with Justin Lee's Sons of Chaos. While Jonny D would eventually lose the World Title to Dane Xavier he regained it the next month in a Chamber match that did not air due to backstage shenanigans. Regardless, Jonny D would main event every ppv the promotion had for 6 months until he eventually dropped the title to Justin Lee in a Triple Threat match. On May 27th, 2013, he would leave the promotion with Damian MISERA believing they were too good for RoC.
