Blood poured out from a cut on Silva's head. The young boy sat down on a bench, back in the locker room area. His green eyes locked on the tile flooring under him. A hard pant escaping him every so often. A towel bathed in his blood was finely clutched in his aching left hand. It seemed that he was holding it like a life line. MONROE's words screeched back into his head from earlier.
"Don't just hit him, break him!" he screamed out. Sounds of a fellow wrestler's hand hitting Silva's chest rang louder in his head. MONROE called it "durability training". The tall, grizzled man stood on the outside of the ring, making only a few steps to get closer every so often. A scowl was plastered on his face, as per usual. Seth had never seen him smile. Hell, the man barely said "hello" to him when he walked in. It was very known that Silva had pissed him off. Was this training in the "Slaughterhouse" part of his punishment. Four hours of getting beaten down and occasionally returning some strikes? That wasn't even the worst part. Being hit was never the issue. Silva could take a hit. C'mon, he's infamous for being durable. He got up from five lariats from Scott fuckin' Barnett and was able to walk away from the ring after the sixth? After the much bigger man in the ring finished chopping his chest, Silva stepped forward and let out a determined roar. He glared down at MONROE who still didn't react any.
"Alright, your turn, Dentist," MONROE spoke in a condescending tone. Silva threw the man into the corner and began to rapidly chop him in the chest. The first chops didn't seem to faze the older man, but it was soon that the man began to reel from the rapid chops. Silva then began to kick the man in the chest. MONROE stepped forward, perplexed. The victim went with it, blocking the kicks with his forearms. Before long, Seth leaned down and raised his leg up once more, putting much of his leg strength into the final kick. The man flinched and escaped from the corner, coughing from the impact. Silva held feet hit the ring and he turned to see MONROE towering over him.
"Okay," MONROE's bellowing voice addressed Silva who looked up at him. Before Silva knew it, MONROE tossed him into the corner and began to kick him. Silva could barely block himself from the relentless kicks. He only saw them on TV. He only heard what people had said through the grapevine. Now, the man was kicking him with full force. Was it anger? Was it some sadistic way of education? Was it--Seth's thoughts were interrupted by a sudden kick to the face. Seth fell onto the ground, dazed from the kick. He got up slightly to see blood dripping onto the ring mat. MONROE stepped back and exited the ring.
"That's how you fuckin' kick someone." MONROE spat. Silva didn't catch where he went. The fellow trainee came up to him and offered a hand. Silva took it and got up. His training partner inspected the wound and rushed off to get Silva a towel.
Yeah, it was a mixture of education and punishment.
